Sogetsu Los Angeles Branch, 40th Anniversary Celebration
The Sogetsu Ikebana Los Angeles Branch celebrated its 40th anniversary on April 11 and 12, 2026 at Quiet Cannon in Montebello, CA. On the first day, the branch’s history was shared with attendees followed by lunch and an afternoon demonstration by Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Headquarters, Ms. Misei Ishikawa. Ishikawa sensei demonstrated six beautiful arrangements.
The second day included two workshops and a buffet lunch. Workshop #1 consisted of disassembling and rearranging materials. Workshop #2 was creating an arrangement for celebrations to honor Sogetsu’s 100th celebration in 2027.
Five San Diego Sogetsu Ikebana Branch members participated in the event. It was fun and challenging!
