Bring your own materials, a vase, and any props you want to use. In Japan, we usually use red and white, or gold /silver, for celebrations.
Free style arrangement using a transparent or translucent glass container. Your materials and water need to be show through the glass. The work can be composed inside or outside the container. You can check book 4-12 page 86 & 87. 5-13 page 66-69. Bring own materials, container, no kenzan.
Please bring a dish of foods to share with friends.

Free-style arrangement emphasizing the color of the vase conducted by Jeff Fine. Check Text book 3-10(page 30-32) Bring your own vase, materials, and if you need a kenzan, please bring it.
Note:
Check the container’s colors carefully. Think and select what combination of materials: Which compositional approach can make the most of the container’s colors? Could be the colors in the same tonal or contrast. Check book 3-8 and 3-9 (pages 24-29).
Bring food to share with others.
There will be a quick general meeting about them at the next workshop on June 18th. Also, the Sogetsu 100th anniversary event.

Arrangement using equisetum (horsetail). Equisetum (approximately 10 pieces) and one or two flowers for color will be provided by the Sogetsu branch. Bring a container, scissors, Kenzan and wire if you need to use.

Exhibition arrangement.
If you are not participating in the exhibition, select your own theme. Please keep in mind the theme of our exhibition “Feeling of Fall/ Aki no Koyo”.

1). Before we start our program, our Flower exhibition chair and co-chair Sharon and JoLea will talk about our exhibition and ask each of you to be a part of the exhibition. Please be there especially if you are participating in the exhibition.
s 2). Our board has updated and amended our Sogetsu By-Laws.No response implies agreement with the proposed Bylaws.
3). Please RSVP by August 10th whether you will attend it or not.
4). There will be a board meeting after the workshop meeting.
]]>Theme: Arrangement combining fresh and unconventional materials ( text book 4-11 page 82 - 85) We can find unconventional materials around home or garages but avoid using unconventional materials as a container. Bring own unconventional materials, Vase and Kenzan if you need to use them.
Fresh flowers and green will be provided by branch.
